2026 Junior Tour Terms & Conditions
The following information will give everyone all the relevant terms and conditions for our events in 2026.
1 - AGE GROUPS (based on Year of Birth)
BOYS:
Under 21 (2005,2006, 2007)
Max. of 3 players per event but not if it is an SGL OoM event. U21’s automatically balloted out if event is over-subscribed.
Under 18 (2008, 2009)
Under 16 (2010, 2011)
Under 14 (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015)
12 places ring-fenced at each event, unless the event is an SGL OoM event, where entry will be by Handicap Order.
PLEASE NOTE: If Yellow Tee option is available – then players will only play 36 holes, 18 holes per day. Play will be from the Yellow Tees in Stableford format - but will count for handicap.
GIRLS:
Under 24 - Max. of 9 players per event but not if it is an SGL OoM event
Under 18 - There will be GROSS and NETT Sections for GIRLS.
2 - SGL VOUCHERS:
Prizes in the form of SGL Vouchers will be paid for all sections.
3 - ENTRY FEES - £40 per player per event:
If any siblings enter the same event, the entry fee will be £25 per sibling per event; any player whose Home Club is the Host Venue, the entry fee will be £15 per player.
Payment in full must be made at time of entry and refunds will be actioned as necessary (funds put back onto Competition Accounts for future use or refunded back to Bank Accounts) at the end of the year. All JT events have to be entered individually.
4 - NO FOOD will be provided or paid for by the Junior Tour at any event.
5 - ALL EVENTS will qualify for EGR, and 54 hole events will qualify for WAGR. There are no “cuts” at Junior Tour events.
6 - MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ENTRIES: The number of entries per event is dependent on our host venues and availability of daylight in early/late season. We will publish an approximate number of entries per event, but these are subject to change.
7 - BALLOTS: At some events, a handicap ballot may be necessary. These handicap ballots will be based on each age group and current handicap indexes AND WILL BE CHECKED.
PLAYERS WITH MORE COMPETITION SCORES WILL TAKE PRECEDENCE, AND PREVIOUS JUNIOR TOUR PLAYING HISTORY WILL ALSO BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT.
Additionally (new for 2026) – players with any “disciplinary warnings” on file based on our Code of Conduct will also be balloted out in over-subscribed events.
8 - PRACTICE ROUNDS: Information regarding practice rounds will be published once the Draws/Ballots have been completed for each event.
Players must not contact the clubs until this information has been distributed.
9 - ACCOMMODATION: Due to Ballots - Parents are advised to only “Provisionally Book Accommodation” wherever possible until the draws/entries have been confirmed.
Junior Tour Scotland accept no responsibility for players accommodation.
10 - PARENTS/GUARDIANS/RELATIVES/SUPPORTERS: We actively encourage supporters, whether it be parents, guardians, relatives, or friends of players at our events, and please continue to allow the players to concentrate and play without interference.
PLEASE NOTE: Any spectator will be subject to the Junior Tour Code of Conduct for parents/guardians/relatives/spectators.
There will be an agreed understanding that anyone attending will adhere to the code of conduct.
11 - PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT
Any player taking part in a Junior Tour event will be required to commit to our “Junior Tour Player Code of Conduct”.
Players will be required to sign a copy of this Code of Conduct, and this will remain active for the 2026 season.
This form will also require some contact details to be submitted in terms of player and parent/guardian/relative contact information, and safeguarding information relating to any allergies, medical conditions etc.
An “online” form will be required to be completed prior to the start of the 2026 season (or the players 1st event).
